Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account, using our website, shipping goods through our facilities, or utilizing any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Services Provided

Yard Link Logistics provides:

  • International freight forwarding

  • Air freight services

  • Package consolidation

  • Customs clearance facilitation

  • Warehouse receiving services

  • Local delivery services within Jamaica

  • Commercial and personal shipping solutions

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service without prior notice.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal and shipment information.

  • Upload invoices, receipts, and supporting documents when requested.

  • Comply with all Jamaican and international shipping regulations.

  • Ensure all shipments are properly packaged.

  • Pay all applicable freight, customs duties, taxes, storage fees, and service charges.

The Company shall not be responsible for delays, penalties, or losses resulting from inaccurate information provided by the customer.

Prohibited and Restricted Items

The following items are strictly prohibited:

  • Firearms and ammunition

  • Illegal drugs and narcotics

  • Explosives and flammable materials

  • Hazardous chemicals

  • Counterfeit goods

  • Perishable goods without prior approval

  • Currency and negotiable instruments

  • Any item prohibited by the laws of Jamaica or the country of origin

The Company reserves the right to refuse, confiscate, or report prohibited items to the relevant authorities.

Customs Duties and Taxes

Customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and government charges assessed by the Jamaica Customs Agency or other authorities.

The Company acts solely as a logistics provider and customs facilitator and cannot guarantee the amount of duties or taxes assessed.

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed.

The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by:

  • Customs inspections

  • Airline or shipping carrier delays

  • Weather conditions

  • Government actions

  • Force majeure events

  • Incomplete customer documentation

Package Storage

Packages not collected within 30 days of notification may incur storage fees.

Packages remaining unclaimed for more than 90 days may be considered abandoned and may be disposed of or sold to recover outstanding charges, subject to applicable law.

Loss or Damage Claims

Claims for loss or damage must be submitted within 7 days of delivery or notification.

Claims must include:

  • Tracking number

  • Invoice or proof of purchase

  • Photographs of the package and contents

  • Description of the loss or damage

The Company reserves the right to investigate all claims before determining compensation.

Limitation of Liability

Unless additional insurance has been purchased, the Company's liability for lost or damaged shipments shall be limited to the lesser of:

  • Consequential or indirect damages

  • Lost profits

  • Manufacturer defects

  • Merchant errors

  • Delays beyond its reasonable control

Returns and Refunds

Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable once services have been rendered.

Refunds may be granted only where the Company determines that a service failure occurred due solely to its negligence.

Account Suspension and Termination

The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any customer account for:

  • Fraudulent activity

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Non-payment of fees

  • Shipment of prohibited items

  • Abuse of staff or services

Privacy

Customer information will be collected, stored, and used in accordance with the Company's Privacy Policy and applicable Jamaican data protection laws.

Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labor disputes, pandemics, government actions, transportation interruptions, or civil unrest.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.

Amendments

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on our website and become effective immediately upon publication.
